A close up of Davy's main generator. Flash damage to the commutator and brushgear is clearly visible. The brushes have already been removed from the brush boxes in this view. The commutator will be skimmed and re-dressed in-situ and the rest of the machine will receive a major clean up before new brushes are fitted.
