As a connoisseur of thrash for many a year, I thought it only fitting that this website should contain a few files here and there for all to sample. The intention is to feature audio and video clips of all of our fleet, and possibly a few extras. Files will be added on a 'when time permits' basis.
The downloadable audio files are in mp3 format and are of high quality, although the sampling bitrate has been reduced to keep the file sizes down to reasonable limits. All files © MC unless otherwise stated. Don't forget to turn up your speakers!. Scroll further down the page for the audio clips. Video clips are Winzip files and are in WMV or MPEG format. Right click on the picture and select 'Save target as', to download them to your pc.
Important Note
The sound and video clips on this page are subject to copyright. If you wish to use any of the files for whatever reason, ie: train simulator's or model sound sets etc, please contact us for permission first. We will most likely say yes anyway, but that isnt the point. !
Video Clips
37240
blasts away from Deeside Loop heading for Berwyn. Filmed from the rear
cab, some nice clag effects here. (6.11Mb) |

37901
departs Llangollen with its first working in preservation. My memory card
ran out before the loco had passed by so this is only a short clip. |
This
clip clearly shows why the class 37/9s lived up to their 'Slug' nickname
! 37901 is run up from idle speed to full power. Start playing the
clip then go away and make a cup of tea, it might be on full chat by the
time you get back ! (10.2Mb) |
An
archive shot of 25313 leaving Carrog on a cold misty morning. (7.75Mb)

37240
powers up through Berwyn during a 'Thomas' event. This was the first train
of the day and the rail conditions were very greasy following a damp early
morning. (8.89Mb) ©J.Goodale |
37240
further up the bank towards Berwyn Tunnel. Working hard during a 'Thomas'
weekend. (4.73Mb) ©B.Jones |
An
absolute stormer of a clip here. If you like to hear a 37 working hard
then this is for you ! 37240 filmed from the front window of the
first coach during a 'Thomas'event. A heavy load makes the old girl
explode in style. A large file but well worth the download ! (27.6Mb)

with 37901 on the rear of the train leaving Berwyn in Alpine conditions, a
recent snowfall giving rise to the odd lack of adhesion on departure!

37240
is started from cold at Deeside Loop on a freezing cold night. The picture
is very dark but this helps to highlight the firework display from the
exhaust ports ! Most entertaining. (19Mb) © B.Jones |
And
now for something completely different ! This is a short clip of a V12
Maybach engine, a relative to the MD655 power units in the class 52 'Western'
locomotives. However, this is out of a Tiger tank and is bolted onto a
trailer for display purposes. No exhaust system, just 12 short stacks
straight up and out. Has to be seen to be believed ! Hellfire !!! (4.42Mb)
